Premier League cars you can drive away today

  • SUVs continue to be the no.1 choice for top footballers
  • Seat massagers and personalised interiors are increasingly becoming ‘must-haves’
  • One England star even customised his by installing a mini fridge

It seems footballers buy and sell their cars as often as they switch clubs during transfer season. But when they fancy a change, where do they go to sell their cars? Luckily for football fans, it’s easy to get their hands on these coveted cars, just by heading online to Auto Trader.

The UK’s largest automotive marketplace for new and used cars currently has a number of luxury cars previously owned by famous footballers, ready for you to drive away today. Check out the below for a mix of footballer rides currently available on Auto Trader.

An Auto Trader spokesperson said, “Auto Trader continues to be the go-to-destination for footballers looking for a change of wheels ahead of the new season. This year highlights the surge in popularity for SUVs amongst Premier League stars, with the likes of Range Rovers and Mercedes-Benz G Class continuing to take the top spots. Personalisation also seems to be key for footballing legends, from having their shirt numbers stitched into seats, unique colour wraps, to even stocking their own mini fridge.”

Peter Crouch’s Ferrari 360 3.6 Spider 2 dr, £69,990

One of England’s top scorers, Peter Crouch, used to own this 2004 Ferrari Spider. The car is a manual, runs on petrol, and clearly has been well looked after with just 28,000 miles on the clock. This gorgeous ride is presented in Grigio Titanio with Ferrari 18” alloys and includes Ferrari embossed seats and a subwoofer finished in Bordeaux red leather.

Gareth Bales’ Mercedes-Benz G Class G63 AMG 5.5 5dr, £114,895

Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale previously owned this stunning Mercedes Benz G Class from new, customising it to his personal tastes before passing it on. The car has a matt grey wrap with Designo black quilted leather upholstery, alloy wheels in matt black and red brake callipers. Don’t believe us? Check out Gareth in the car on You Tube to see him in action.

Alex Song’s Rolls Royce Wraith 6.6 2dr, £139,949

Ex-Arsenal player, Alexandre Song, decided to sell his beloved Rolls Royce after enjoying it for two years, due to his move to Switzerland in 2018. Built in 2014, this two-door 6.6l engine only has just 19,120 miles on the clock. No expense was spared on the vehicle, with a full black leather interior, chrome details and even massage seats.

Kyle Walker’s Land Rover Range Rover 4.4 SD V8 Autobiography 4X4 (s/s) 5dr, £62,000

This high spec Range Rover Autobiography ticks all the boxes, with massage seats, a mini fridge and upgraded meridian sound system worth £4,700. With Range Rovers seen as a footballer classic, it’s no surprise this was owned by England star, Kyle Walker, for over two years before selling in 2017. This 4.4l engine SUV is automatic, runs on diesel and has only done 42,000 miles.

Ferrari 512 4.9 TR 2dr, £199,900

This beautiful 1993 two-door Ferrari 512 TR coupe’s first owner was former English footballer and manager, Mark Hateley. The iconic car features classic Ferrari designs, including crema leather interiors, Rosso carpets and Cavallino embossed seats. The 4.9l engine is a manual and runs on petrol.

Mystery Premier League star’s Mercedes-Benz G Class 5.5 G63 AMG Edition 463 Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic 4X$ 5dr, £99,999

Previously owned by a mystery Premier League footballer, this gorgeous Mercedes-Benz G Class features a Designo classic red leather interior and heat insulating dark-tinted glass windows. The car has a 5.5l engine, runs on petrol, and has just 14,000 miles on the clock, suggesting this footballer wasn’t able to hang on to it for long.

Porsche Cayenne 4.8 Turbo Tiptronic S AWD 5dr, £44,990

This show-stopping Porsche Cayenne is a one-of-a-kind, having been made exclusively for former footballer, George Boateng in 2008. It’s been wrapped in metal flake ice white, with chrome details and 22 inch wheels. The automatic SUV has a 4.8l engine and 78,000 miles on the clock.
